Job Requirements

  • Understand all policies, procedures, standards, and training programs
  • Ensure responsive and courteous guest service
  • Ensure food and products meet preparation and serving standards
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, cleanliness through training and positive work environment
  • Control cash and receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures
  • Fill in as needed to maintain service standards
  • Prepare required paperwork and reports timely
  • Maintain equipment through inspection and preventative maintenance
  • Receive products correctly and manage deliveries
  • Schedule labor to meet business activity ensuring staffing and labor cost targets
  • Apply restaurant personnel policies with corrective actions as needed
  • Comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Participate in marketing, advertising and promotional campaigns
  • Work manager-on-duty shifts as scheduled
  • Complete payroll input and report efficiency monthly
  • Maintain employee files and documentation
  • Manage food servers, bussers, and hostesses staffing and training
  • Maintain labor pool and recruit as needed
  • Motivate and evaluate staff regularly
  • Monitor service ware and linen usage efficiently
  • Develop and manage employee evaluation program
  • Devise side work schedules for maintenance and organization
  • Ensure sales motivation and procedure compliance
  • Conduct incentive contests
  • Monitor and maintain POS and customer incentive programs
  • Coordinate take out dining programs
  • Maintain dining room furniture, fixtures and bathrooms
  • Notify management of repair needs

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language of the restaurant's trading area
  • Have knowledge of food and beverage service with at least three years of front-of-the-house operations or assistant management experience
  • Possess excellent basic math skills
  • Able to operate a cash register or POS system
  • Able to work standing for long periods
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Have stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
