Job Requirements

  • Understand completely all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs
  • Ensure all guests receive responsive, friendly and courteous service
  • Ensure food and products are consistently prepared per recipes and standards
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, facility appearance, and sanitation through training and positive work environment
  • Control cash and receipts with adherence to policies
  • Fill in as needed to maintain service standards and operational efficiency
  • Prepare required paperwork timely
  • Maintain equipment and follow preventative maintenance
  • Receive products correctly per policies
  • Schedule labor to meet business and cost objectives
  • Administer corrective action for policy violations
  • Comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Participate in marketing and promotion activities
  • Work M.O.D. shifts
  • Complete payroll input and report at month-end meetings
  • Maintain employee files with proper documentation
  • Manage staffing including recruitment, initial and ongoing training, motivation, appearance standards, scheduling, and evaluations
  • Monitor and control serviceware and linen usage
  • Develop employee evaluation programs
  • Schedule side work to maintain dining and storage areas
  • Ensure food server motivation and compliance
  • Conduct incentive contests
  • Manage POS and customer incentive programs
  • Coordinate take-out dining programs
  • Maintain dining room furniture, fixtures, and bathrooms and report repair/replacement needs

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area
  • Have knowledge of service, food and beverage operations, involving at least three years of front-of-the-house or assistant management experience
  • Possess excellent basic math skills
  • Ability to operate a cash register or POS system
  • Able to work in standing position for up to 5 hours
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Have stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week

Job Duties

  • Have overall responsibility for dining room operations including staffing, training, cleanliness, maintenance, supplies, ordering, and service area organization
  • Organize and develop special in-house promotions such as wine maker dinners and corporate dining events
  • Coordinate with beverage manager to ensure optimal sales and efficiency of beverage products
  • Maintain all food-related menus and POS system
  • Oversee and coordinate day-to-day operations to meet objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation
  • Train and lead staff to achieve company goals
  • Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling procedures
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
  • Prepare required paperwork including forms and schedules timely
  • Inspect and maintain all equipment and follow preventative maintenance programs
  • Ensure proper receipt of products and compliance with receiving policies
  • Schedule labor according to business needs to meet labor cost objectives
  • Enforce company policies and administer corrective actions
  • Comply with all health, safety, and labor regulations
  • Implement restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns
  • Work M.O.D. shifts as scheduled
  • Complete payroll input and report efficiency
  • Maintain employee files and proper documentation
  • Manage personnel including recruiting, training, motivating, ensuring appearance standards, scheduling, and evaluations
  • Monitor serviceware and linen usage and order as needed
  • Develop and monitor employee evaluation programs
  • Devise side work schedules for dining room and work areas
  • Ensure sales motivation and compliance of food servers
  • Conduct incentive contests
  • Maintain POS system and customer incentive programs
  • Coordinate take-out dining programs
  • Maintain dining room furniture, fixtures, and bathrooms and notify management of repair needs
