Job Requirements
- Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs
- Ensure guests receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service
- Maintain consistent preparation and serving standards according to recipes and restaurant protocols
- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, sanitation, and cleanliness
- Control cash and receipts through proper handling and reconciliation
- Prepare all required documentation including reports and schedules
- Keep all equipment clean and well-maintained via inspections and preventive maintenance
- Ensure deliveries are checked for correct count and condition per receiving policies
- Schedule labor according to business activity and labor cost objectives
- Administer corrective actions according to company policies and personnel rules
- Comply fully with health, safety, and labor regulations
- Carry out marketing, advertising, and promotional activities
- Complete payroll input and report efficiency monthly
- Maintain employee files with proper documentation
- Recruit, train, motivate, and evaluate food servers, bussers, and hostesses
- Monitor service ware and linen usage efficiently
- Develop and implement employee evaluation programs
- Organize side work schedules for dining room and storage maintenance
- Ensure compliance and motivation of food servers
- Conduct incentive contests as needed
- Monitor and maintain POS and reservation systems
- Coordinate customer incentive and take-out dining programs
- Maintain dining room furniture, fixtures, and bathrooms, notifying management of repair needs
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant trading area
- Have knowledge of service and food and beverage with at least three years of front-of-the-house or assistant management experience
- Possess excellent basic math skills
- Be able to operate a cash register or POS system
- Be able to work standing for long periods up to five hours
- Be physically capable of reaching, bending, stooping, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds
- Have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week
Job Duties
- Manage dining room staffing including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the dining area and related facilities
- Oversee inventory management including ordering and monitoring supplies
- Coordinate with the beverage manager to optimize sales and product efficiency
- Maintain food menus and POS system accuracy
- Lead and motivate the staff to achieve sales, service quality, and guest satisfaction objectives
- Enforce compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and labor regulations
- Handle cash control and reconciliation according to restaurant policies
- Organize and implement special in-house promotions and corporate events
- Monitor service ware and linen usage to ensure operational efficiency
- Prepare reports, schedules, and other paperwork timely and accurately
- Manage employee evaluations, motivation, and adherence to personal appearance standards
- Conduct marketing and promotional campaigns
- Maintain dining room furniture, fixtures, and bathrooms
- Oversee take-out dining programs
- Fill in as necessary to uphold service standards and operational efficiency
- Work Manager on Duty (M.O.D.) shifts as scheduled
