  • ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
  • make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
  • answer the telephone promptly and provide helpful service including taking orders
  • check with customers to ensure they are enjoying their meals and address any problems
  • collect payments from customers
  • write or enter food orders for transmission to kitchen staff
  • prepare checks itemizing meal costs and sales taxes
  • take orders for food or beverages from patrons
  • verify patrons' identification for alcohol consumption
  • serve food or beverages and prepare specialty dishes as needed
  • present menus and answer questions about menu items
  • clean tables or counters after patrons finish dining
  • prepare hot, cold and mixed drinks and chill bottles of wine
  • stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, tableware, and linens
  • maintain adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
  • adhere to company policies and store guidelines
  • report to work on schedule and on time
  • be knowledgeable of all menu items including the bar where applicable
  • accurately report tip income
