Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • associates degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or similar preferred
  • culinary diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • completion of culinary or apprenticeship program preferred
  • minimum of three years experience managing food & beverage or front of house in relevant settings
  • ability to read, write, and understand English
  • physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull, and work continuously without sitting for extended periods
  • ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • associates in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management or similar major is highly preferred
  • culinary diploma or graduation from culinary school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • culinary or apprenticeship program preferred
  • minimum three years experience managing Food & Beverage or Front of House in a country club, fine dining restaurant, or upscale senior living environment
  • ability to read, write, and understand English to manage and communicate effectively
  • sufficient manual dexterity to use kitchen utensils and equipment

Job Duties

  • Enhance the resident dining experience through exceptional management and fine dining training
  • coordinate culinary and dining activities across multiple dining venues including Bistro, Casual, Formal, Memory Care, Room Service, and Club Room
  • oversee special events and private functions to ensure service excellence
  • uphold service standards in accordance with The Sterling Touch® guidelines
  • collaborate with the Executive Chef to implement community standards, processes, procedures, and philosophies
  • lead, hire, and train Front of House employees to maintain a professional and courteous service environment
  • ensure timely and friendly service resulting in high satisfaction for residents and guests
