Job Requirements
- Valid food handler license from Fayette County obtained before first scheduled shift
- Valid license from Kentucky Horse Racing Commission provided at hiring
- Ability to lift 23 kg and stand for long periods
- Flexible availability during racing and event days
- Positive and optimistic attitude with strong team orientation
- Minimum 2 years bartending experience in high-volume or upscale settings
Job Qualifications
- More than 2 years of experience as a bartender in high-end or high-volume environments
- Strong knowledge of spirits, wines and bartending techniques
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure
- Flexible availability, especially during horse racing days and major events
- Positive attitude and strong team spirit
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine and beer according to recipes and standard presentation guidelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar before, during and after service
- Interact with customers professionally and warmly, offering recommendations and sharing cocktail stories
- Ensure all garnishes, syrups and preparation ingredients are stored properly
- Comply with all health codes, safety and sanitation procedures, including correct use of jigger, shaking technique and glassware handling
- Prepare batch cocktails and contribute to bar efficiency
- Support wine service standards, including presentation and proper pouring technique
- Communicate proactively with team to maintain smooth service flow
- Uphold Keeneland values of tradition, excellence and high-quality hospitality
