Job Requirements

  • Valid Fayette County food handler's license required before first scheduled shift
  • Valid Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license provided upon hire
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and event dates
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items up to 23 kg
  • Minimum of 2 years bartending experience in upscale or busy environments
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Physical stamina and resilience for a fast-paced dynamic work setting

Job Qualifications

  • More than 2 years of experience as a barman in high-end or high-volume environments
  • Strong knowledge of spirits wines and cocktail techniques
  • Ability to multitask and maintain composure under pressure
  • Flexible availability especially during horse racing events and major occasions
  • Ability to lift 23 kg and stand for long periods
  • Optimistic positive attitude with strong teamwork spirit

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve handcrafted cocktails wine and beer according to recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean organized and efficient bar before during and after service
  • Interact with customers with professionalism and warmth offering recommendations and sharing cocktail stories
  • Ensure all garnishes syrups and preparation ingredients are properly stored
  • Comply with all health codes safety and sanitation procedures including proper use of jigger shaking technique and glassware handling
  • Prepare batch cocktails and contribute to bar efficiency
  • Support wine service standards including presentation and proper pouring technique
  • Communicate proactively with the team to maintain service flow
  • Uphold Keeneland values tradition excellence and high-quality hospitality
