Job Requirements
- A valid Fayette County Food Handler’s License is required for all food and beverage staff, must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift
- a Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers, this license will be provided upon hire
- ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time
Job Qualifications
- 2 plus years bartending experience in upscale or high-volume environments
- strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and cocktail technique
- ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
- flexible availability, especially during race meets and major events
- upbeat and positive attitude with a strong team mentality
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, and beer according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar setup before, during, and after service
- engage guests with professionalism and warmth, offering recommendations and sharing cocktail narratives
- ensure all garnishes, syrups, and prep ingredients are stocked and properly stored
- follow all health code, safety and sanitation procedures, including proper jigger use, shaking technique, and glassware handling
- execute batch cocktail prep and contribute to bar efficiencies
- support wine service standards, including presentation and proper pouring technique
- communicate proactively with the team to maintain flow of service
- uphold Keeneland’s values of tradition, excellence, and elevated hospitality
