Job Requirements

  • A valid Fayette County Food Handler’s License is required for all food and beverage staff, must be obtained prior to the first scheduled shift
  • a Kentucky Horse Racing Commission license is required for all track workers, this license will be provided upon hire
  • ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • 2 plus years bartending experience in upscale or high-volume environments
  • strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and cocktail technique
  • ability to multitask and stay composed under pressure
  • flexible availability, especially during race meets and major events
  • upbeat and positive attitude with a strong team mentality

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve craft cocktails, wine, and beer according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
  • maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar setup before, during, and after service
  • engage guests with professionalism and warmth, offering recommendations and sharing cocktail narratives
  • ensure all garnishes, syrups, and prep ingredients are stocked and properly stored
  • follow all health code, safety and sanitation procedures, including proper jigger use, shaking technique, and glassware handling
  • execute batch cocktail prep and contribute to bar efficiencies
  • support wine service standards, including presentation and proper pouring technique
  • communicate proactively with the team to maintain flow of service
  • uphold Keeneland’s values of tradition, excellence, and elevated hospitality
