Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0 to 1+ years of related experience
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods on tile floor
  • Basic computer skills including web browsing and email
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Ability to exercise proper discretion and independent judgement

Job Duties

  • Promptly notify supervisor and/or house director of any maintenance problems or unsafe conditions in or around the kitchen
  • Observe kitchen, dining and chapter rules, as determined by the chapter, chef, and house director
  • Refrain from the use of alcohol or drugs in and around the chapter territory
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all chapter members and residents, employees, and volunteers
  • Notify supervisor and/or house director of any accidents or injuries while on duty, immediately
  • Assist in cleaning the dining room
  • Assist in taking out trash daily
  • Assist in washing dishes after each meal where needed
  • Assist in waiter and table bussing as needed
  • Properly care for supplies
  • Perform general duties as assigned
