Job Requirements

  • United States citizenship
  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university
  • Completion of ACEND accredited experiential or supervised practice program
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Ability to comply with federal employment and healthcare regulatory standards
  • Physical ability to participate in pre-employment examination or evaluation

Job Qualifications

  • Completed ACEND accredited dietetic internship or supervised practice program

  • Knowledge of federal healthcare regulations and accrediting body requirements
  • Ability to apply evidence-based nutrition practices and develop patient-centered goals
  • Experience with virtual healthcare technologies

Job Duties

  • Conduct nutrition assessments for patients with varying acuity using the Nutrition Care Process
  • Develop and implement evidence-based, patient-centered nutrition intervention plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to integrate nutritional care into overall patient treatment
  • Document clinical activities accurately and maintain patient records using approved systems
  • Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission and other accrediting agency standards
  • Work with Food Operations to enhance veterans' dining experience and ensure food satisfaction
  • Utilize virtual technology to deliver nutrition care and conduct performance improvement data collection
