Job Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian credential by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • state dietetics license where applicable
  • ability to perform inpatient and outpatient clinical nutrition duties
  • compliance with HIPAA and patient confidentiality requirements
  • experience in hospital dietetic practice preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office and nutrition-related software
  • strong communication and mentoring skills

Job Qualifications

  • Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, where required
  • minimum one year of hospital experience preferred
  • proficient with Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records, diet office systems, and nutrient analysis software

Job Duties

  • Provide medical nutrition therapy including nutrition assessment, diet modification, nutrition education, and intervention for patients
  • follow guidelines within the Company Diet Manual and Clinical Nutrition Policies & Procedures
  • comply with federal, state, and accrediting agency standards while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations and patient rights
  • train and mentor patient services staff and interns
  • participate in patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs
