Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous customer service experience preferred
  • experience in food service, dietary clerk, or related field preferred
  • ability to communicate fluently in English
  • able to stay calm under pressure
  • proficient with web-based software and telephone use
  • flexible and adaptable to changing job duties
  • typical typing speed of 35 - 45 words per minute

Job Qualifications

  • previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred
  • experience in food service, dietary clerk, or related field preferred
  • ability to communicate fluently in English, bilingual or multilingual a plus
  • ability to stay calm under pressure
  • comfort with using technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset
  • typical typing speed of 35 - 45 wpm
  • flexibility and adaptability to change

Job Duties

  • function comfortably in a fast-paced call center environment where every call is recorded and assessed to ensure performance levels are maintained
  • maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • adapt to customer needs
  • answer phones and take menu orders
  • answer questions or appropriately direct calls related to patient meal or nutritional needs
  • use software to record patient orders
  • maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure accuracy in meal orders
  • collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition
  • maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety and sanitation standards
  • comply with Aramark's standards of operation and business conduct policy
  • maintain records and reports to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and codes
