Job Requirements

  • Education level not specified
  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
  • Experience in food service or a related field preferred
  • Fluent English communication skills required
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Comfortable with technology use including software, keyboard, and telephone equipment
  • Typing speed of 35 to 45 words per minute preferred
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing job duties

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred
  • Experience in food service, as a dietary clerk, or in a related field preferred
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English, bilingual or multilingual a plus
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Comfortable using technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset for the majority of shift
  • Typing speed of 35 - 45 wpm
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to change

Job Duties

  • Function comfortably in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment where every call is recorded and assessed to ensure performance levels are maintained
  • Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Adapt to customer needs
  • Answer phones, take menu orders, answer questions, or appropriately direct calls related to patient meal or nutritional needs
  • Use software to record patient orders
  • Maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure accurate meal order processing
  • Work closely with doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition
  • Maintain privacy, safety, and dignity of each customer by observing client confidentiality and adhering to safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain compliance with company standards of operation and business conduct policy
  • Keep all records and reports to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and codes
