Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to read write and speak English and follow oral written instructions
  • Proficiency in using various types of kitchen equipment including dishwasher cleaning equipment serving utensils toasters
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and boxes and stand for extended periods of time
  • Registration with the 1199 Job Security Fund

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service preferred
  • Food safety certification preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a passion for putting patients first
  • Background in the hotel restaurant or retail industry preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals to patients daily ensuring dietary needs are met with care and attention
  • Perform a variety of routine tasks in the kitchen cafeteria tray line and dishwashing areas
  • Follow standard practices and procedures to maintain efficiency cleanliness and safety
