Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
- Experience in food service or dietary field preferred
- Fluent in English
- Ability to use web-based software and technology comfortably
- Ability to maintain calm in high-pressure situations
- Flexibility in job duties and schedule
- Commitment to confidentiality and patient privacy
- Adherence to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Previous customer service and/or call center experience preferred
- Experience in food service, dietary clerk, or related field preferred
- Fluent communication in English required
- Bilingual or multilingual a plus
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Comfortable with technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset
- Typical typing speed of 35-45 words per minute
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change
Job Duties
- Function comfortably in a fast-paced, performance-based call center environment
- Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
- Adapt to customer needs
- Answer phones and take menu orders related to patient meals
- Use software to record patient orders accurately
- Maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, and the Food & Nutrition team to ensure accurate patient nutrition
