Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or call center environment preferred
  • Ability to communicate fluently in English
  • Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred
  • Proficient in using computers and telephone systems
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards
  • Must be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service or call center experience preferred
  • Experience in food service, dietary clerk, or related field preferred
  • Fluent in English, bilingual or multilingual a plus
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Comfortable using technology including web-based software, keyboard, and telephone headset
  • Typical typing speed of 35 to 45 wpm
  • Flexible and adaptable to change

Job Duties

  • Function comfortably in a fast-paced call center environment where every call is recorded and assessed
  • Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Adapt to customer needs effectively
  • Answer phones and take menu orders related to patient meals
  • Appropriately direct calls regarding patient nutritional needs
  • Use software to record patient orders accurately
  • Maintain general knowledge of therapeutic diets to ensure precise meal processing
  • Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, and food and nutrition team for accurate patient nutrition
  • Maintain privacy, safety, and dignity of customers by observing client confidentiality and adhering to safety and sanitation standards
  • Comply with Aramark standards of operation and business conduct policies
  • Maintain records and reports to comply with local, state, and federal regulations
