Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in food service preparation and administration
  • Supervisory experience in food service
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification
  • Ability to train and evaluate staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and dietary regulations
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in food service preparation and administration
  • Experience supervising and training employees
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ServSafe or equivalent certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of dietary safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Ensure CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct adherence at all times
  • Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies
  • Oversee efficient operation of the Dietary department
  • Interview and hire prospective Dietary staff
  • Schedule and cover all Dietary positions
  • Train new Dietary staff and caregivers working in the dining room
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement special dietary functions
  • Provide continuing education and training to Dietary staff
  • Monitor adherence to procedures and conduct staff orientation
  • Coach and mentor staff daily
  • Evaluate staff and complete performance reviews
  • Manage department activities including purchasing, inventory, portion control, menu and budget requirements
  • Promote proper safety procedures related to dietary services
  • Provide residents with a pleasant dining experience
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment
  • Maintain temperature logs, cleaning charts, cost sheets, and food supply records
  • Attend facility meetings and other meetings as directed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Director
