Job Requirements

  • Fingerprinting clearance card or eligibility to obtain
  • Background screening, licensure verification (if applicable), reference check, and drug testing
  • Tuberculosis testing
  • Employee health screening conducted after hire
  • Ability to move, lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English

Job Qualifications

  • Dietary Manager Certification where required
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit in required counties
  • Experience managing dietary services in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of dietary therapeutic meal preparation and nutrition standards
  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory requirements
  • Effective communication skills in English

Job Duties

  • Manage budgeting, purchasing, storage, preparation and service of dietary therapeutic resident meals
  • Ensure all required documentation for the Dietary Department, resident care plan and MDS records is accurate and up to date
  • Supervise and schedule all Cooks and Dietary Aides
  • Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Care Team to align dietary services with resident health goals
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations including food handling and employee screenings
  • Oversee inventory control and food quality standards
  • Train and mentor dietary staff to uphold clinical and operational excellence
