Job Requirements
- Fingerprinting clearance card or eligibility to obtain
- Background screening, licensure verification (if applicable), reference check, and drug testing
- Tuberculosis testing
- Employee health screening conducted after hire
- Ability to move, lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
Job Qualifications
- Dietary Manager Certification where required
- Valid Food Handler’s Permit in required counties
- Experience managing dietary services in a healthcare or skilled nursing facility
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Knowledge of dietary therapeutic meal preparation and nutrition standards
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and comply with regulatory requirements
- Effective communication skills in English
Job Duties
- Manage budgeting, purchasing, storage, preparation and service of dietary therapeutic resident meals
- Ensure all required documentation for the Dietary Department, resident care plan and MDS records is accurate and up to date
- Supervise and schedule all Cooks and Dietary Aides
- Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Care Team to align dietary services with resident health goals
- Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations including food handling and employee screenings
- Oversee inventory control and food quality standards
- Train and mentor dietary staff to uphold clinical and operational excellence
