Job Qualifications
- Dietary Manager certification where required
- Food Handler’s permit in required counties
- Eligibility for fingerprinting clearance card
- Experience in managing dietary operations in healthcare settings
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Job Duties
- Manage budgeting, purchasing, storage, preparation, and service of dietary therapeutic meals
- Ensure compliance with dietary documentation, resident care plan, and MDS records
- Supervise and schedule cooks and dietary aides
- Collaborate as part of the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain food safety standards including proper certification and permits
- Conduct regular staff training and performance evaluations
- Monitor inventory and control food costs
