Iris Memory Care is a specialized assisted living community focusing exclusively on memory care located in Nichols Hills, Oklahoma City. The community serves residents coping with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, creating a supportive, home-like environment where dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality are prioritized. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in food service and dietary management
  • knowledge of healthcare dietary needs preferred
  • ability to lead and supervise staff
  • compliance with state and local health regulations
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical activity
  • good attendance record
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • willingness to learn and train others
  • ability to remain calm and handle emergencies appropriately

Job Qualifications

  • One to two years experience in a similar position preferred
  • working knowledge of health and safety regulations in food preparation
  • demonstrated ability in food preparation and service
  • supervisory experience with older adult populations preferred
  • twelve years of education or more preferred
  • successful completion of an approved state food service supervisor course
  • management and supervisory experience required
  • ability to prepare and serve a wide range of foods
  • strong organizational and training skills
  • effective communication skills in English
  • ability to lift 35 to 50 pounds
  • availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Manage, plan, and direct dietary department activities
  • supervise dietary staff including hiring, training, and evaluating
  • ensure food service standards, policies, procedures, and sanitation compliance
  • coordinate with care staff to meet residents' dietary needs
  • conduct inventory, purchasing, and food storage management
  • prepare and serve meals according to menus and regulations
  • maintain kitchen and dining area cleanliness and safety
  • develop and deliver inservice education with consultant dietician
  • adjust menus to meet nutritional requirements
  • oversee food and supply ordering and budget management
  • maintain meal service records and report issues appropriately
