Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must have CDM certification
  • knowledge of current regulatory standards
  • proven ability to train, supervise and direct dietary personnel
  • excellent leadership and communication skills
  • ability to manage budgets and inventory
  • experience in dietary management or related field

  • must have the ability to train, supervise and direct dietary personnel in their proper duties and in accepted dietary procedures and techniques

Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare, serve meals and snacks to all residents of the facility
  • lead the dietary team to ensure compliance with regulatory and cleanliness requirements
  • coordinate with the IDT to ensure nutritional needs of all residents are met and dietary orders are followed
  • interact in friendly and welcoming manner with all residents and guests
  • instruct and train dietary team on proper methodologies, practices, and requirements of the kitchen
  • recruit, retain, and maintain staff according to the needs of the facility including preparing labor schedules
  • purchase food, supplies, and equipment to meet the needs of the facility while adhering to appropriate budgets
  • attend leadership meetings, care plan meetings, and other meetings as required
  • make rounds in the facility to meet residents and cater to their preferences
  • carry out applicable policies and procedures
  • perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or designee
