Job Requirements

  • Certification in dietary management (CDM)
  • Knowledge of current regulatory standards
  • Experience in supervising and directing dietary personnel
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and manage food service operations
  • Experience in staff recruitment and scheduling
  • Budget management skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe working environment

Job Qualifications

  • Must have CDM certification
  • Must be knowledgeable of current regulatory standards
  • Must have the ability to train, supervise and direct dietary personnel in their proper duties and in accepted dietary procedures and techniques

Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare, serve meals and snacks to all residents of the facility
  • Lead the dietary team to ensure compliance with regulatory and cleanliness requirements
  • Coordinate with the IDT to ensure nutritional needs of all residents are met and dietary orders are followed
  • Interact in friendly and welcoming manner with all residents and guests
  • Instruct and train dietary team on proper methodologies, practices, and requirements of the kitchen
  • Recruit, retain, and maintain staff according to the needs of the facility including preparing labor schedules
  • Purchase food, supplies, and equipment to meet the needs of the facility while adhering to appropriate budgets
  • Attend leadership meetings, care plan meetings, and other meetings as required
  • Make rounds in the facility to meet residents and cater to their preferences
  • Carry out applicable policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrator or designee
