Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a cook or in food preparation preferred
- ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions
- compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
- physical ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds
- able to push or pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for long periods
- capable of performing routine and repetitive tasks
- comfortable working around food and cleaning chemicals
- must complete an approved sanitation and safety course if required
- current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as mandated
- residency within the service area

- able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously
- able to work around food and cleaning products
- may be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course
- current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required based on state or county law
- residency within the service area required
Job Duties
- prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes
- ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards
- adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- maintain a clean and orderly kitchen
- assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service
- perform all other duties as assigned
