Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and write required
- One to two years of cooking experience preferred
- Must be able to work weekend double shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Experience in healthcare facility cooking preferred

- One to two years as cook in a large scale cooking operation preferred
- Experience working in a healthcare facility preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare meal items according to planned menus and standardized recipes
- Use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required
- Operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table and tilt skillet
- Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits
- Test and observe food for palatability
- Slice portions of meat for individual servings
- Assist with special function meals
