- One to two years experience as a cook in a large scale cooking operation preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
- Use nutritionally equivalent substitutes when required
- Operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table, and tilt skillet
- Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits for preparation
- Test and observe food quality by tasting for palatability
- Slice portions of meat for individual servings
- Add gravies, sauces, and garnishes as required
- Assist with special function meals
- Follow all food safety standards and guidelines
