Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read and write
- one to two years cooking experience in a large scale operation preferred
- knowledge of federal, state, and local food safety regulations
- ability to operate kitchen utensils and equipment safely
- physical ability to perform kitchen duties including lifting and standing for long periods

Job Duties
- prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes
- operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, and tilt skillet
- wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits
- test and observe food by tasting for palatability
- follow recipes and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes as required
- prepare and assist with special function meals
- complete work assignments efficiently
