Job Duties
- prepare and serve meals according to menu and diet orders
- review menus and prep guides to determine food type and quantity
- operate kitchen utensils and equipment such as blender, mixer, fryer, slicer, steamer, food processor, convection oven, stove, conventional oven, steam table, and tilt skillet
- wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits for preparation
- taste and test food for quality and palatability
- slice meat portions for individual servings
- follow standardized recipes accurately
- add gravies, sauces, and garnishes as required
- assist in preparing special function meals
- complete assigned work tasks
