Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior dietary experience in a LTC, SNF, AL, or MC setting highly preferred
  • one year of experience as a cook in a large-scale cooking operation highly preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • professional image in both appearance and behavior
  • flexible and energetic personality
  • dedication to working with seniors

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals according to menu guidelines
  • monitor food handling and preparation methods
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
  • ensure nutritionally appropriate food service for residents
  • comply with federal, state, and local food service regulations
  • collaborate with dietary team to deliver quality meals
  • assist in inventory and stock management
