Job Requirements
- Valid Food Service Worker Permit (FSWP) or Temporary FSWP with permanent obtained within one week for West Virginia locations excluding Berkeley/Morgan County
- ServSafe Person In Charge certification within 90 days of hire for Ohio locations
- Valid Food Service Worker Permit from local health department, ServSafe, or StateFoodSafety for Maryland locations or Temporary FSWP with permanent within one week
- Ability to push fully loaded tray cart approximately 250 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to enter isolation precaution patient rooms with proper protective equipment
- Willingness to work 25 scheduled weekly hours
- Must be non-exempt employee according to United States labor laws
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to understand written and oral communication
- Basic computer skills including keyboard, mouse, tablet, and Microsoft Word
- Telephone skills including use of speaker phones, headsets, and telephone etiquette
- Knowledge of food service operations and sanitation guidelines
Job Duties
- Prepare all work areas for operation including filling sanitizing solution and maintaining sanitizer strength
- Set up area including utensils, restock, clean and organize assigned area maintaining cleanliness
- Produce and maintain attractive, appetizing and quality food and beverage products
- Follow menu cycle, proper portions and standardized recipes preparing food items in batch production
- Greet customers, politely ask for order and efficiently serve customer
- Address customer complaints in a polite professional manner and seek management assistance when needed
- Clean spills promptly and post appropriate caution signage
- Remove trash from service areas promptly
- Merchandise area through clean, uncluttered, attractive and orderly arrangement of work area
- Ensure all activities meet sanitation, safety and quality control guidelines
- Document equipment temperatures as assigned and alert facilities and management of malfunctioning equipment
- Properly operate, clean and store equipment in assigned area
- Properly store and label food items and chemicals
