Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • courteous and friendly demeanor
  • able to work efficiently under pressure
  • stamina to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50lbs
  • capability to interact respectfully with residents and staff
  • ability to follow written and verbal directions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
  • excellent communication skills
  • courteous and friendly at all times
  • able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • able to stand for 8 hours or longer
  • able to lift, push, and pull food carts and other food utility supplies up to 50lbs
  • ability to deal with residents and staff in a tactful, diplomatic and respectful manner
  • ability to follow all written and verbal instructions

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
  • serve and deliver food to residents as required
  • maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
  • properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
  • transport/deliver food/beverage items to assigned residents
  • assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
  • load and operate dishwasher machine
  • ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
