Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in healthcare or skilled nursing facility preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to maintain courteous and friendly attitude
- Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50lbs
- Ability to interact respectfully with residents and staff
- Ability to follow instructions
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be courteous and friendly at all times
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or longer
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull food carts and other food utility supplies up to 50lbs
- Ability to deal with residents and staff in a tactful, diplomatic and respectful manner
- Ability to follow all written and verbal instructions
Job Duties
- Assist in the preparation of hot and cold foods
- Serve and deliver food to residents as required
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
- Properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
- Transport and deliver food and beverage items to assigned residents
- Assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
- Load and operate dishwasher machine
- Ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
