Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
  • Must be courteous and friendly at all times
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or longer
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull food carts and other food utility supplies up to 50lbs

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be courteous and friendly at all times
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to deal with residents and staff in a tactful, diplomatic and respectful manner
  • Ability to follow all written and verbal instructions

Job Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of hot and cold foods
  • Serve and deliver food to residents as required
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
  • Properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
  • Transport and deliver food and beverage items to assigned residents
  • Assist lead porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
  • Load and operate dishwasher machine
  • Ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
