- high school diploma or ged equivalent
- previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- must be courteous and friendly
- ability to interact respectfully with residents and staff
Job Qualifications

- must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours or longer
- must be able to lift, push, and pull food carts and other food utility supplies up to 50lbs
- ability to deal with residents, and staff in a tactful, diplomatic and respectful manner
- ability to follow all written and verbal instructions
Job Duties
- assist in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
- serve and deliver food to residents as required
- maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
- properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
- transport/deliver food/beverage items to assigned residents
- assist lead porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
- load/operate dishwasher machine
- ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
