Job Duties
- assist in the preparation of food and serve meals, snacks, and beverages using portion control and sanitation practices
- deliver meals to resident rooms or tables and set up meal trays according to dietary orders
- keep kitchen, dietary equipment, and dining room clean and sanitary including work areas and floors
- clean utensils, dishes, and pots by operating dishwasher or handwashing, ensure dishwasher operates properly and record temperature
- ensure proper storage, rotation, labeling, and discard outdated food per guidelines and company policy
- partner with dietary staff to monitor kitchen equipment, record equipment temperatures, and report faults
- follow fire safety, infection control, and hazardous chemical practices and report unsafe conditions
- greet residents, visitors, and staff courteously respecting dignity and confidentiality
- reset dining room for next meal and ensure supplies availability
- assist in storing incoming food and supplies
- attend training, in-services, and staff meetings
- perform other duties as assigned
