Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Some dietary experience preferred
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Understanding of safe dietary procedures
- Commitment to resident confidentiality
- Ability to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks
- Willingness to assist with meal setup and service
- Physical ability to handle kitchen tasks and duties
Job Qualifications
- Have an understanding of safe dietary procedures and the geriatric community
- Willingness to work for the best interest of the residents and facility
- Ability to work as part of a team and partner with other departments
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required
- Some dietary experience is preferred
Job Duties
- Prepare and portion food items following recipes and menus
- Be involved in try set up and delivery of meals
- Assist with serving the dining room
- Put away stock on delivery days
- Wash and store all pots, pans, dishes and utensils
- Sweep and mop floors and perform assigned special cleaning
- Maintain confidentiality of all residents and their care
- Ensure dietary work areas are clean and sanitary
- Perform other duties as assigned
