- basic physical ability to perform kitchen and dishwashing duties
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in dietary aide or kitchen helper role is an advantage
- knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
- ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions accurately
- strong teamwork and communication skills
- ability to multitask and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- assemble trays and deliver meal carts to nursing or dining areas
- dispose of refuse in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- deliver and rotate food and floor supplies according to standards (first in, first out)
- follow menus and standardized recipes to prepare meals safely and efficiently
- portion and serve meals as directed by recipes and spreadsheet instructions
- wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment properly
- clean pots, pans, dishware, and utensils promptly and thoroughly to ensure the kitchen runs smoothly
