Job Requirements

- Ability to follow oral and written directions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

- Physical presence on-site is required

Job Duties
- Assists cook in minor food preparation such as making gelatin, salads, and dressings
- Portions food for service
- Prepares food setup for snacks, requisitions, and special events
- Serves residents in partnership with nursing staff in unit dining rooms
- Sets up and serves on tray line and in unit dining rooms
- Wraps, labels, and stores leftovers properly
- Operates kitchen appliances including mixer, blender, chopper, VCM, and slicer
- Cleans kitchen and equipment, including sweeping and mopping floors
- Reports any malfunctioning equipment to supervisor
- Reports any supply shortages to supervisor
- Performs dish machine operations and returns cleaned dishware to proper locations
