Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a dietary aide or food service role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and meal plans
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and resident satisfaction
Job Duties
- Assist with meal service by assembling trays and delivering meal carts to nursing or dining areas
- Maintain cleanliness by disposing of refuse following departmental policies and procedures
- Manage supplies by delivering and rotating food and floor supplies according to standards (first in, first out)
- Prepare foods by following menu and standardized recipes to ensure meals are prepared safely and efficiently
- Serve meals by portioning and serving as directed by recipes and spreadsheet instructions
- Sanitize equipment by washing, sanitizing, and properly storing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
