Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification obtained upon hire or during orientation
- meet all health standards including tuberculosis screening and immunizations
- successful completion of background checks and random drug testing
- strong compassion for elderly residents
- ability to perform cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping
- ability to follow dietary orders accurately
- excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- CPR certification upon hire or obtained during orientation
- meet all health requirements including TB and all required immunizations
- pass background check and random drug tests
Job Duties
- Assist in the delivery of meals to residents in the dining room and/or their apartments
- take residents’ orders at the table and ensure their requests are fulfilled and satisfaction is achieved
- set up meal trays, food carts, dining room tables, pre-bus and clear tables
- take attendance in the dining room and report any residents not present to a supervisor
- welcome new residents and comply with diet orders, food likes, dislikes and allergies
- maintain kitchen in accordance with all state and local health regulations and ensure dining department is inspection ready at all times
- assist in daily cleaning duties such as sweeping, dishwashing, and mopping
- observe residents’ nutritional intake and report any unusual behaviors to the Dining Director or Cook
- complete requirements of community Quality Assurance program including department records
- review and follow diet roster and food allergies during meal service
- show compassion and desire to work with the elderly
