Job Duties
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, trays, pots, and pans using dishwashing equipment or by hand
- Ensure all kitchenware meets sanitation and health department standards
- Clean and maintain dishwashing machines and work areas
- Assist with cleaning kitchen surfaces, floors, garbage areas, and storage spaces
- Properly handle and dispose of trash and recycling
- Follow infection control, food safety, and OSHA guidelines
- Assist with basic kitchen tasks as needed (e.g., restocking supplies, setting up meal trays)
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisor
- Work cooperatively with dietary and nursing staff to support meal service schedules
