Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in food service or healthcare nutrition preferred

  • knowledge of safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • assist in the production and distribution of food including juices, salads, desserts, coffee, sandwiches, and special items
  • follow all safety and sanitary procedures including use of protective equipment
  • operate large kitchen equipment such as food processors, microwaves, blenders, and institutional dishwashers
  • read and comprehend dietary information and follow recipes
  • clean and sanitize kitchen and dishwashing areas
  • maintain organization and complete duties according to policies
  • utilize computer systems to record food and fluid intake
  • report special requests of residents and incidents of abuse or neglect to management
