Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Basic food handling knowledge
- Must comply with all health and safety regulations

- Good interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary services preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and performance improvement

Job Duties
- Receive and complete instructions/directions from cook
- Prepare patient trays according to the menu extensions (proper serving sizes and therapeutic diet orders)
- Receive and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas
- Take and record temperature of dish machine and ensure compliance with regulations
- Wash, peel, and cut various foods, such as fruits and vegetables, to prepare for cooking or serving
- Mix ingredients for green salads, molded fruit salads, vegetable salads, and pasta salads
- Notify supervisor or cook of shortages or special needs
- Clean and organize eating, service, and kitchen areas
- Wash dishes and utensils used for preparing food
- Participate in performance improvement activities
- Support and abide by the mission, values, and policies of CHCS in all activities
- On-going compliance with CHCS educational requirements
- Perform all other duties as required
