Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- previous health care experience or demonstrated knowledge of dietetics and medical terminology preferred
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- professionalism and interpersonal skills
- flexibility to work a variety of shifts and schedules
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent highly preferred
- additional college training in dietetics or related field preferred
- knowledge of dietetics and medical terminology preferred
- strong priority setting and organizational skills
- ability to remain calm under stressful situations
- professionalism and ability to establish rapport with patients, family, staff, and physicians
- flexibility to work variable shifts
Job Duties
- Exhibits Mount Carmel Service Excellence Behavior Standards including friendliness and courtesy
- promotes a culture of safety by adhering to workplace policies and procedures
- visits patients to assist with menu selections
- responds to patient needs and requests promptly
- demonstrates knowledge of special modified diets and department policies
- effectively uses patient care and diet office management systems
- checks patient trays for accuracy during meal service
