Job Requirements

  • High school graduate preferred
  • Food Handler Certificate and/or ServSafe required
  • some related experience in food service
  • ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
  • good interpersonal skills
  • able to stand for sustained periods
  • able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • adherence to hospital safety and health programs
  • willingness to work early morning shifts

Job Qualifications

  • ability to plan work schedule to meet serving times
  • ability to review menus and meeting schedules

Job Duties

  • Set up patient trays
  • prepare and dish cold foods and beverages
  • assist café service
  • maintain sanitation methods and procedures
  • help in kitchen area before, during, and after meals
  • keep kitchen work areas and equipment clean and orderly
  • operate standard kitchen equipment safely
