Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients
  • Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus
  • Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors
  • Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director including hemodialysis theory and practice within 8 weeks of hire
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire or as required by the state
  • Patient Care Technician certification through a state or national program within 18 months of hire and maintained in good standing

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients
  • Previous experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus
  • Ability to mix acids and bicarbonate according to protocol
  • Ability to distinguish all primary colors
  • Successful completion of USRC training program and competency demonstration
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire
  • Patient Care Technician certification obtained within 18 months of hire

Job Duties

  • Provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment to patients
  • Gather patient statistics before and after treatment
  • Initiate, monitor, and terminate dialysis treatments
  • Collect blood samples as ordered by physicians
  • Prepare hemodialysis machines and conduct safety checks
  • Clean and disinfect dialysis machines after use
  • Adhere to safety protocols and participate in staff meetings and continuing education
