Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver license in applicable state with good driving record and no restrictions
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors
- Ability to perform under stress and emergency situations
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English language verbally and written
- Ability to plan and organize work independently and with others
- Willingness to comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in dialysis, hospital or medical settings preferred
- Ability to distinguish primary colors
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in organizing work
- Demonstrated ability to operate and maintain mechanical and electrical systems
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Job Duties
- Demonstrate effective use of supplies and staff labor hours
- Assist with purchasing as needed including placing orders and performing inventory counts
- Be familiar with inventory control procedures and assist in control of excess inventory
- Perform duties to meet patient care and operational needs
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain equipment as recommended by manufacturers
- Repair, calibrate, test, clean and disinfect dialysis machines and water treatment systems
- Perform water quality checks including free chlorine, total chlorine and water hardness testing
- Conduct safety checks on pretreatment water equipment like carbon tanks and water softeners
- Collect samples for microbiology and AAMI analysis testing
- Disinfect central bicarbonate systems and dialysis machines according to protocol
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and accurate maintenance records
- Ensure knowledge of safe operation of water treatment and electrical systems
- Address physical environment issues impacting safety
- Mix bicarbonate and acid concentrate solutions according to protocol
- Assist in storage and stocking of supplies
- Follow emergency procedures and use personal protective equipment
- Stay updated on OSHA regulations and Material Safety Data Sheets
- Manage contracts and contacts for emergency repairs
- Provide technical summaries during QAPI meetings
- Maintain collaborative relationships with clinic administrators
- Promote customer service standards
- Respond to inquiries and concerns
- Participate in staff meetings and continuing education
- Provide training on equipment use to clinical staff
- Foster a team-oriented work environment
