Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a dishwashing or kitchen sanitation role preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic understanding of sanitation and safety guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently and in a team environment

Job Qualifications

- General knowledge of how to safely handle knives, hand tools, utensils and all standard commercial kitchen equipment
- Understanding of chemicals and sanitizing products used in kitchen sanitation

- Ability to communicate clearly with management and fellow associates
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times throughout their shift
- Ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
Job Duties
- Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils both by hand and by utilizing dish washer
- Sort and stack clean dishes
- Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas
- Rewash soiled dishes before delivering
- Set up or break down dishwashing area while following sanitation guidelines
- Mop floors, sweep, clean bathrooms, clean equipment and remove garbage
- Assemble/disassemble dish machine
- Communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
- Maintain the dish room and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner
- Clean fryers, braisers and flat top griddles as directed by management
- Notify management any time the dish machine wash or rinse cycles fall below safety standard temperatures
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines while working in the kitchen and around food products
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices
- Additional duties as assigned
