Job Requirements
- Minimum of one year experience or training in specialty food or wine and beer industry
- must be at least 21 years of age
- ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
- strong customer service orientation
- ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- physical ability to handle and move merchandise
- availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- capability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- willingness to learn and adapt
- interpersonal skills to work within a team environment
Job Qualifications
- At least one year of experience and/or training in the specialty food or wine and beer industry
- outgoing personality and willingness to learn
- strong customer service skills
- ability to think critically
- ability to communicate clearly with customers and fellow associates
- ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation
- ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store
- ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
- fine wine and liquor experience a plus
- must be 21 years of age or older
Job Duties
- Initiate suggestive selling and sampling of wine and beer products
- set up wine and cheese samples
- receive and stock wine and beer orders
- assist with inventory, processing, monitoring and replenishing merchandise
- ensure that all items have signs and are priced correctly
- organize and wipe bottles in wine fridge and on shelving display
- communicate any customer special requests to management
- communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
- perform additional duties as assigned
