Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience or training in specialty food or wine and beer industry
  • must be at least 21 years of age
  • ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • strong customer service orientation
  • ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to handle and move merchandise
  • availability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • capability to maintain accurate records and documentation
  • willingness to learn and adapt
  • interpersonal skills to work within a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience and/or training in the specialty food or wine and beer industry
  • outgoing personality and willingness to learn
  • strong customer service skills
  • ability to think critically
  • ability to communicate clearly with customers and fellow associates
  • ability to read, write and count to accurately complete all documentation
  • ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • ability to move or handle merchandise throughout the store
  • ability to work varied hours/days as dictated by business
  • fine wine and liquor experience a plus
  • must be 21 years of age or older

Job Duties

  • Initiate suggestive selling and sampling of wine and beer products
  • set up wine and cheese samples
  • receive and stock wine and beer orders
  • assist with inventory, processing, monitoring and replenishing merchandise
  • ensure that all items have signs and are priced correctly
  • organize and wipe bottles in wine fridge and on shelving display
  • communicate any customer special requests to management
  • communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service
  • perform additional duties as assigned
