Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior custodial or janitorial experience preferred
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including walking, standing, bending, and lifting heavy objects
- willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques
- ability to follow instructions
- good communication skills
- ability to work second shift
- ability to work in a diverse team environment

- basic knowledge of general housekeeping methods, cleaning products, and their use
Job Duties
- Collect trash and replace garbage liners
- clean garbage receptacles as required
- ability to work between multiple locations
- dust and clean all furniture, fixtures, and horizontal surfaces
- vacuum carpeted areas
- mop tile and concrete floors
- wash, disinfect, and restock restrooms including floors, toilets, toilet seats, paper and soap dispensers
- empty trash in washrooms
- clean mirrors, walls, and toilet partitions
- clean window sills and windows
- perform or report minor maintenance repairs and damages
- maintain janitor closets in a clean, organized, and safe manner
- maintain janitorial equipment in clean, safe and operable condition
- properly label, dilute and use all chemicals
- wear proper personal protective equipment at all times
- perform other duties as assigned
