Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific field
- minimum 5 years fighter, bomber, or ISR operational experience
- military TPS graduate or minimum flight time including 2,000 total pilot in command hours, 200 PIC hours during engineering flight test, and 10 hours during experimental flight test
- air-ground weapons employment experience preferably in flight test environment
- ability to effectively function and make decisions in dynamic, high-pressure environments
- ability to maintain FAA Class II medical
- current active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- ability to attain special program access
- U.S. citizenship
- willingness to travel periodically
- availability to work non-traditional hours for exercise execution events
- capability to perform work on-site in Las Vegas, NV
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or scientific field
- minimum 5 years fighter, bomber, or ISR operational experience
- military TPS graduate or minimum flight time including 2,000 total pilot in command hours, 200 PIC hours during engineering flight test, and 10 hours during experimental flight test
- air-ground weapons employment experience, preferably in flight test environment
- ability to effectively function and make decisions in dynamic, high-pressure environments
- ability to maintain FAA Class II medical
- formal USAF safety training
- flight evaluator and instructor experience
- previous squadron command or director of operations experience
Job Duties
- Perform developmental and operational flight test of unmanned aircraft as pilot in command
- plan and execute flight tests within given safety, security, and operational constraints
- conduct mission briefs and debriefs, leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, aircrew, maintenance, and support personnel
- assist organization leadership in developing and managing training, standardization and evaluation, and/or special qualification programs for unit-assigned aircrew personnel
- provide long-term continuity for ongoing test programs
